Affect Lab’s primary methodologies are natively digital – from scraping social media platforms, news and blogs, to trawling public access datasets, creating information visualizations, using sentiment analysis tools, web and mobile applications and live events.
Our primary data sources are digital platforms such as popular (mobile and web) social media sites and applications.
We use digital tools to experiment with expressions of emotion on social media and communication platforms.
Out of these experiments we develop tools, data visualisations,insight reports,installations, exhibitions and other prototypes for wider use by other social entrepreneurs, foundations, agencies, government affiliates or commercial partners.
